Clem Levin, aka DJ JAH Shecky (Two 7’s Clash). Clem Levin, aka DJ JAH Shecky spins a wide variety of reggae music born out of the necessity to fill the void of long dark winters on our island and also to not follow in the footsteps of another infamous island reggae personality who shall remain unnamed. Saturday nights become an irie reggae party with not only the classic songs you spliffed up to in your youth but also some obscure and emerging sounds from around the globe. You will hear styles such as roots, dub, ska, rock steady, lovers rock, dancehall, soka and maybe even some calypso. Featuring artists as familiar as Bob, Toots and Big Youth - to others with more curious names such as - Alpha, Echo, and Zukie, we'll travel to the epicenter of reggae, Jamaica, and on to some very unlikely hideaways across the globe such as Japan, New Caledonia, and even the U.S. So “nice up” your Saturday nights in reggae style, join JAH Shecky 10 P.M.-midnight.

Wayne Tackabury
(Radio On). Radio On has found its way to focusing on independent (or independently-intentioned) rock and roll (and a number of related musical nations), past present and future. Every week, the "Tape Recorder Special" (remember tape recorders?) features in its entirety a brand new album pitched at the Radio On wheelhouse. That's only one part of the three-hour retro-modernist-deconstructive Monday night gumbo that is this show.
On the other hand, the name Radio On has been in use by this character for some form of radio show since 1977, which gives you an idea how much new imagination is "really" at work here. Back then, Wayne had a career in community and commercial radio (ah, "career", that's a funny one!) through stints in on stations in Santa Cruz, Pasadena, and Carmel, all of which are places in California, along with other daliances in FM radio. In the 21st century, Wayne was one of the originals on WVVY back when the project was too illicit to discuss here. Now, he continues to flail away at Radio On, with his dogged insistence on a line connecting the Velvet Underground, Van der Graaf Generator, (Guided by) Voices, (My Bloody) Valentine, (Camper) Van Beethoven, Vetiver...wow, "V" was a bad choice for a letter to get clever with here. wayne@wvvy.org
